In Paikgachha, Khulna, a schoolgirl was stabbed to death by her father for protesting eve-teasing. The injured person has been admitted to Paikgachha Hospital. A complaint has been lodged at the police station. According to the complaint, businessman SM Tuku (38), son of Sher Ali Sardar of Lashkar village in Lashkar union of the upazila, went to his village home on Saturday evening. At that time, some boys including Saheb Ali Ghazi (24), son of Nasrul Ghazi of local village Paikgachha village found his daughter in front of Tuku’s house and started talking. At that time, when the father stopped them, he took the knife out of his pocket and when he tried to stop it with his hand, the knife hit his hand and caused bloody wounds. Locals rescued him and admitted him to Paikgachha Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to the on-duty doctor, the injured person was given 16 stitches.
