DB police have arrested Liton Malita, 40, the main accused in the murder case of Jessore farmer Nakim Uddin Mollah. According to his information, the body parts of the deceased have also been recovered. DB has also arrested Kabiraj Abdul Barek, the mastermind of the murder. Liton confessed to the police that Nakim was killed on the orders of Kabiraj in the hope of regaining his youth.

Earlier on May 30, police recovered Nakim Uddin’s body from Paikpara village in Jessore’s Bagharpara upazila. At that time, various parts of his body were dismembered. Mazharul, son of the deceased, filed a case with Bagharpara police station. The case was handed over to DB police.

The DB conducted a raid and arrested Liton Malita, the main accused in the murder case, on Wednesday. He killed farmer Sej Nakim Uddin. According to him, the mutilated limbs of the deceased were recovered from a haystack. At the same time, Tantric Kabiraj Abdul Barek was arrested from Loknathpur under Damurhuda police station in Chuadanga on Wednesday night.

During interrogation, Liton Malita said that he was unhappy in his married life. Kabiraj has been receiving treatment from Abdul Barek for eight years. Kabiraj told him that if he could collect the special organs and eye gems of a man, he would be entitled to eternal youth. That is why he made friends with different people, sometimes as a rickshaw puller, sometimes as an agricultural worker, sometimes as a day laborer. But he could not collect those parts of the body by killing them. After collecting the last Nakim Uddin by suffocation, he collected the organs.

Arrested Kabiraj Abdul Barek said, ‘I have been doing Kabiraji for 18 years. Lytton has been receiving medical treatment for eight years. She tells me that she is very unhappy in her worldly life. Can’t make wife happy. I ask him to acquire those three organs. I didn’t tell him to kill a living person and bring an organ. I have said that it is possible to manage from where the postmortem is done. ‘
