Bloody body of a journalist was recovered from the pond

Police have recovered the body of a journalist named Abu Jafar Pradeep (38) from the pond of his house in Rajpara village of Tiakhali union in Kalapara of Patuakhali. Police recovered his body at midnight on Sunday.

The deceased Pradeep was a document writer by profession and worked as a Kalapara correspondent in a newspaper called Ganakantha. The deceased Pradeep was the son of late Khalek Paholan of Rajpara village. She has two children named Akter (12) and Albi (3).

The victim’s wife Zinnia Akhter said the brother had a dispute with Pradeep over a family dispute. The dispute between them had been going on for several days. Besides, there was a dispute with the opponents over the brick kiln business. For this reason he was killed and his body was thrown in the pond. He demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the incident.
Kalapara police chief said. Jasim said Pradeep had sharp weapon wounds on his abdomen and hands. He recovered the body from the pond after half past one in the night. They recovered the body and sent it to Patuakhali morgue for autopsy on Monday morning. The cause of his death is being investigated. The case is being prepared at the police station
