In the investigation, that TTE Shafiqul was proved innocent
Allegations of ‘misconduct’ leveled against TTE Shafiqul Islam at Ishwardi in Pabna have been proved false. The inquiry committee did not find any basis for such allegations. Shahidul Islam, manager of the divisional railway, said this after receiving the report of the three-member investigation committee.
Sajedul Islam, chief divisional assistant transport officer of the committee, submitted the investigation report in his hand around 11:30 am on Monday.
Two other members of the inquiry committee were present at the time.
After receiving the report, Shahidul Islam said, “TTE Shafiqul Islam has been proved innocent in the investigation.” No grounds were found for the allegations against him. That is why he has been acquitted of the charges. ‘
Shahidul Islam further said, “Investigation has revealed that the train guard Shariful Islam had incited the TTE to lodge a complaint against Shafiqul with that passenger.” For some reason, the train guard Shariful TTE was angry with Shafiqul. The investigation committee has recommended punishment against guard Shariful. ‘
Regarding whether there was any involvement of the Railway Minister’s wife or his cousin, Shahidul Islam, Divisional Railway Manager, said that the issue was the allegation of TTE Shafiqul’s misbehavior with the passengers in the train. That is why only that matter has been investigated. Nothing was brought out of it. The investigation did not raise any issue in the statement of the complainant or the accused person.
He added that the original investigation report was 8 pages long. More than 40 pages of data have been added. The investigation did not find any evidence against Shafiqul. The allegation made by the complainant train passenger Imrul Kayes was not correct. As he is a minor, he has been asked to come to the railway department office and apologize.
On May 5, Shafiqul Islam, a traveling ticket examiner (TTE) of Ishwardi in Pabna, charged three passengers without tickets in the name of the Railway Minister. Later, Pakshi Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Nasir Uddin suspended him on the phone of the Railway Minister’s wife. When the matter was discussed, Shafiqul’s dismissal order was lifted and he was returned to his post.
