20 Barguna fishing trawlers with 300 fishermen are missing in the deep Bay of Bengal. There is anxiety in the fishing village of Patharghata upazila. Barguna District Trawler Owners Association President Golam Mostafa Chowdhury confirmed this information.

The leaders of the District Trawler Owners Association said on Friday that around 1500 fishing trawlers in the district catch fish in the estuary and deep sea.
At present all the trawlers have returned to the shore but there is no trace of 20 trawlers.

Barguna District Trawler Owners Association President Golam Mostafa Chowdhury said that 300 fishermen including 20 fishing trawlers of Patharghata Upazila are missing due to the cyclone. Disappearances are a cause for concern in Jelepalli. We are trying to find them.

Barguna District Commissioner Moha: Rafiqul Islam said, heard about the disappearance of trawlers and fishermen. Coast Guard, local administration and fisheries association have been directed to search for the missing persons.
