The Indian Prime Minister arrived in Nepal on Monday on a four-day visit. According to NDTV, relations between the two countries fell apart in 2020 due to a border dispute. Many people think that this visit of Narendra Modi is to repair that relationship.
Modi arrived in Lumbini on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. Lumbini is one of the holiest places of Buddhism as Buddha was born there.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his entourage flew to Nepal in a special Indian Air Force helicopter from Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Upon arrival in Lumbini, Modi was given a warm welcome. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, his wife Arju Deuba and several Nepalese ministers welcomed the Indian Prime Minister.
Modi then visited the Maya Devi temple on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. The Prime Minister’s Office of India has already tweeted a picture of the Prime Ministers of the two countries at the Maya Devi Temple. It says, the eternal bond of friendship ….
