In Kurigram, the construction work of 72 more houses among the homeless landless has been completed under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Uphar Asrayan Project-2 in the year of Mujib. The newly constructed houses are in the process of being handed over.
According to the promise of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there will be no landless homeless people in the country in the year of Mujib. There are 32, Hemerkuti 5 in Masterhat, 4 in Madhabaram and 40 in Dharla Asrayan. At the time of writing this report, the constructed houses were in the final process of being distributed among the beneficiaries. Bhogdanga Madhabram 56 – Maidipur 14 – Khatamari 16, Panchgachhi Dharla shelter 95 and 22 isolated houses were provided among a total of 3 families.
