Human chain in Savar in protest of Krishna’s murder

People from all walks of life in Savar Municipality are standing on the streets with the family of Krishna Sarkar who was brutally killed by a gang of drug addicted teenagers. The only demand of all is that the killers should be arrested immediately and hanged.
On Friday (June 3) afternoon, the Sammilita Sangskritik Jote and the Savar Citizens’ Committee staged a human chain and protest against the killing of photographer Krishna Sarkar at Arapara in Savar. Joins various social and cultural organizations of Savar.
Rafiqul Islam Thandu Mollah, President of Savar Citizens Committee, President of Savar Upazila Puja Celebration Committee and Pradeep Kumar Das, General Secretary of Dhaka District Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Unity Parishad, Krishna Chandra Kanchan, President of Savar Upazila Hindu Buddhist and Christian Unity Parishad spoke on the occasion. Sachin Sarkar, a member of Sammilita Sangskritik Jote, Mofazzal Hossain Milon, joint secretary of Savar Club, Shefali Rani Sarkar, mother of slain Krishna Sarkar and his wife Jaya Sarkar.
Hundreds of locals, including Neel Sarkar, the 6-year-old son of the slain Krishna Sarkar, and Abul Hossain, who was paralyzed by a drug-addicted teenage gang in the same area, were also present on the occasion.
The speakers immediately issued a seven-day ultimatum to arrest the killer Nayan and his accomplices. They demanded the execution of the culprits and said that the people of the area should be united in eradicating drugs and suppressing terrorism. So that no other Krishna is lost prematurely.
It may be mentioned that on June 1 (Wednesday), photographer Krishna Sarkar (25) was stabbed to death in front of his house in Arapara, Savar by teenage gang leader Nayan and his associates. He was killed while protesting against drug use. At that time another youth named Bipul (20) was stabbed in the eye.
